Healthy Co-parenting: Parenting from two homes

 

A child's adjustment to divorce or separation depends upon the parents' parenting skills and their ability to reduce the conflict between them.  You can minimize the impact of divorce on your children.

 

This 4-hour parent education seminar that explains...

 

the effects of separation and divorce on children

how children feel about the divorce or separation of their parents

how important it is to keep the children out of the middle of parental conflict

how to minimize parental conflict through good communication

parenting skills to increase the effectiveness of parenting from two homes

 

You can help them cope with the separation and help prevent 

long-term emotional, social, and academic problems.

 

This program meets the requirements of VA Statue 20-103.  Classes are held twice per month, on Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 pm.  Please call 316-9339 for scheduling information.  The cost is $50 per adult.  Participants must pre-register and pre-pay in order to attend.
